ೃ — Charlotte is in pieces. At seventeen, she's already lost more than most people lose in a lifetime. But she's learned how to forget. The broken glass washes away the sorrow until there is nothing but calm. You don't have to think about your father and the river. Your bestfriend who is gone forever, or your mother who has nothing left to give you.
First of all, if you're struggling with mental health and if you think that the content of the story will trigger you, please do not read it. Because it definitely will. This book was one of my best read this year. It was heart-wrenching, and too much to take in. To be honest, I was depressed and broken the whole time I was reading it. I was a crying mess, literally, especially to those parts where I can relate to Charlotte. If I can just go inside the book and hug her, I will gladly do so. This book was really worth reading.
However, one thing I dislike about this book was the representation of adult/minor relationship which made me uncomfortable. If it was not put in this book, everything would be perfect.
Note: The story contains triggering contents, so please check the trigger/content warnings and read at your own risk.
