6/29/24 — For now, this book is sitting at 3 stars. I’m rather conflicted how I feel about it. Part of me loved it & the other part hated it for the fact that the pacing was so choppy, Blake’s character was extremely underdeveloped, &
the on page SA (that the author listed in the TW’s as a “mention of” but was actually a blatant on page SA scene with other times it being mentioned.)

But also I loved it because the Graves bothers are hot AF psychopath’s obsessed with their woman. Also, it was hilarious their jealousy over Blake & sibling rivalry.

7/1/24 — ok I changed my mind. Bumping my rating to 4 stars. Sat with it and decided I still really enjoyed the book at an overall 4 star read.

But please please please take the TWs seriously before reading. I do still think the author didn’t appropriately TW label a certain scene & that is what bothered me the most.

4.5 rounded up.

A dark and twisted romance perfect for this looking to get into or already in love with MFM.

A bit of a love triangle situation at first (not to mention touch her and die from both brothers) with Blake feeling guilty about her feelings for both brothers but once she realizes she truly can’t choose and they’re good with sharing all three go all in.

I liked Dom and Blake’s dynamic. Seeing them grow into something more and him breaking through her walls. I also enjoyed seeing Blake’s reticence for Zayden slowly grow and morph into acceptance and understanding to desire. He’s like all the bad sides of herself that Blake wouldn’t face.

Thank god for Dom and Zayden’s getting rid of the “friends” there. I’ll let you figure out in which way I mean.

Please, please, please, check trigger warnings before reading and know what you can and can’t handle because there’s some borderline stuff that occurs. This story has some very dark parts. ☠️, mayhem, and contract unaliving is part of the story. No one who’s done wrong is safe.

Katelyn Taylor. I never knew I needed twins falling in love with the same girl. One a stalker. One a protector. Both of them, together, loving her. This story was one that I had trouble putting down. The characters are well thought out and show true arcs that show of their past traumas and how them coming together as a throuple gives them all a sense of what they have been looking for their entire lives. With only the color of their eyes differing from one another, the twins find love in Blake and her in them. Together, they support and love each other. Together, they became one.

Please read the trigger list before you embark on this wondrous journey.

The Graves brothers are the perfect yin and yang balance of fvcked up crazy! You can't really forgive either of them completely, but you want to give into them entirely.

Add Blake into the mix with her special brand of deranged, and you've got an explosive trio that will take you on one hell of a ride.

There's degradation, praise, kni/fe and blood play, hand necklaces, mu/rder and so much more in this fast paced dark why choose romance.

Katelyn Taylor's "Graves" was more than I expected and at the same time, it was not enough.

"Graves" managed to surprise and captivate me in a way I didn't expect it to do. Once I started the story, there was something that always pulled me towards it. Something that made me not leave it until I read just one more chapter and another, and then another. On one hand, I owe it to the two brothers, whom I liked very much, on the other - to the good story and the many interactions between Blake, Dominic and Zayden, and on the third - simply to the fact that I have a huge weakness for RH books.

As a matter of fact, the book is not even that good. The writing style is not very deep and I didn't really like the fact that the author told half of the main character’s story at the beginning, instead of showing it to her readers, but I closed my eyes about it, because somehow it didn't annoy me as much as this usually does. I attribute it to the fact that I was really interested in what was happening in the present.

The story starts very darkly and you can see from afar that Zayden is and absolute psycho with the things he does, but this is also the thing that immediately turned him into my favorite. Dominic is the complete opposite of him - he is the rational brother who thinks everything through, who is kind, good and stands behind the scenes. And Blake is a little bit of both, which makes her fit perfectly with both of them and feel part of herself missing when she's not with both.
The characters are actually built surprisingly well for the writing style, which I am happy with.
However, I can't deny that there were a lot of moments between them, which were either cringe, or rushed, or forced, and sometimes - all three at once. For example, it occurred to me hasty and ridiculous how quickly Dominic and Blake got together, and how naïve and careless she looked at everything. It just didn't make me take her seriously.

The erotic scenes between them at the beginning were cringe, quite rushed and in general I felt the interactions between Dom and Blake before Zayden entered the picture, slightly stiff, although you could see the chemistry between them. However, when all three of them got together - THIS IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR!! This animal passion, this crazy attraction, this absolute love - that's why I started "Graves" and you have no idea how glad I am that I got it!

✨ They are everything for me, everything to me, and I want to be everything to them, even in the darkest of times.✨

The dynamics are good - something is constantly happening to keep the interest going. However, I was surprised that the action itself is very linear. First one thing was happening, it ends, and only then something else begins. There was not much intertwining of problems and although there are several subplots, each of them appears and stays on stage until it is completed. Only then did the development of the next one begin.

The climax was good. Dynamic and well-structured, without dragging on too much.

The ending was very nice, it filled my soul. I could read more and more about these characters, and that says enough.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,5 / 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

“I told you that you’re mine. I meant it.”
“I’ll give you a ten second head start. Good luck, angel.”
“Yeah, baby. Say my name, I want to hear my name on your lips when you fall apart for me.”

Who wouldn’t want two unhinged and obsessed twin brothers taking care of them?

I enjoyed the Graves brothers and their chaotic energy. Dominic was more easygoing while still being dark and dangerous, whereas Zayden was more unhinged and unpredictable. There were a lot of similarities between the two, but I liked how they were both clearly different and had their own personalities.

The FMC had a dark and difficult past. Some of her past traumatic events were revealed throughout the book, which helped with her character development and also explained some of her decisions and actions.

The two friends of the FMC were not my favorite characters, and luckily they didn’t have a huge role in the story.

I enjoyed the tension and dynamic between the FMC and the two MMCs. I liked the relationship development between the characters.

The pacing was good for the majority of the book, but the ending felt a bit rushed to me, and there was a point where I was a bit confused about what had just happened. But otherwise, I really enjoyed the book.
