Wtf did I just read 😅 the breeding kink in here and secretly throwing out the birth control to try to get her pregnant was not for me personally. The spice was definitely spicy though 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ morally grey MMCs for sure who would kill anyone and everyone just for looking at their woman wrong 🤌🏼

Katelyn Taylor out here reinforcing my love for dark romance with this book full of debauchery and sandwiches— i mean, twins. 😉

I have mixed feelings. I get that the book is supposed to be a dark romance (and I was given warnings on Bookstagram). However, heroine was violated and abuse by so many men during the majority of the book, including her love interests. Blake is rightfully angry that Zayden raped her twice (and have her explicitly called the two encounters she’s aware of rape) only for her to fall madly in love with Zayden. And that part is bonkers once the readers are privy to the seven years of sexual abuse that she endured. Then, both Zayden and Dominic take it upon themselves to discard Blake’s birth control without her consent. Even though, Blake had expressed so many times that she was wary of getting pregnant. It rubbed me wrong because once again a man disregarded Blake’s agency/autonomy. I was initially intrigued by the beginning of Blake and Dom. I also believe that Zay and Blake could have worked without the somnophilia and “dub-con” (and I’m using that term very loosely). It’s just hard for Zay to take the high moral ground when he inflicted similar pain as Blake’s previous abusers. The book was a steamy car crash that was hard to ignored. Highlight was Blake getting vengeance against some of her abusers.

This is a DARK book! Please read TW and CW before reading, like for real for real read! I ate this book up though! The twins are a little crazy but it fits the MFC’s crazy.
