2.5 I wanted to love this one, but I just couldn't connect. I'm not a fan of insta love because I really love to see the progression of the characters, but this was insta obsession, and it just doesn't work for me unless it's a novella.

This is a typical dark romance, but it felt like a bunch of other books mixed in and heavily felt similar to The Ravenhood Series but with shock value. I think if it was a bit more creative, I could have loved it, but I love Kate Stewart's writing, and this felt way too similar

I’m writing this review with voice typing. I want to be better about writing brief reviews/summaries so that I can remember what I’ve read and because I read a lot unfortunately I can forget things

RATINGS
Overall: 3.5/5
Characters: 3.5/5
Plot: 2/5
Chemistry: 3/5
Spice: 5/5
Pacing: 3/5

MAIN CHARACTERS - Blake, Zayden & Dominic

SYNOPSIS - Two killer brothers fall for the same woman with a dark past.

REVIEW - Struggled with where to put this one. The plot was kind of mediocre at best but the steamy scenes were unhinged and delicious. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the characters though. Zayden was chaos at times and clearly crossed a LOT of lines but the psycho was loveable. Dominic was the ground to his mayhem for Blake. The dynamic was great and should have worked but it just needed... something. I think what really held this one back for me was
SpoilerBlake's connection to Maxim. It was super jump-the-shark and just felt like it was trying too hard. Maxim was the monster to our monsters. We didn't need it to get even more convoluted with him having "loved" her mother.
All in all, I wanted this book to rank higher for me but I just couldn't do it. I still enjoyed the read and didn't want to put it down. I struggle to find good MFM reads anymore and this one definitely delivered in that regard so kudos to the author.

WOULD I RECOMMEND - If you're cool with the trigger warnings, absolutely.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a good book, I enjoyed reading it and getting the back stories for each of the characters. Of course reading about that kind of all consuming love is always my cup of tea. Who doesn’t want to have someone who is entirely devoted to them through the good, bad and ugly? Overall I gave this book a 3 star rating. I was along for the ride. Would I recommend it? Maybe.

I fell in love with Dom and the more I learned about Zayden the more I loved him too! There was just the right amount of spice, murder, revenge, mystery… all the feels. If you’re second guessing reading this.. just do it!

Well that was certainly a RIDE! Let me just say that knowing the tropes and reading the trigger warnings before going in didn’t even begin to prepare me for how unhinged this book was going to be. And I loved every single minute of it!

I was completely sucked in and engrossed in this book from the very beginning and it kept a strangle hold on me until the very end. I love how completely OBSESSED Zayden was with Blake from the very second that he saw her. And when Dom sees her and basically falls into obsession with her as well, I couldn’t wait to see the fallout and ultimate outcome. Both of these MMCs are unhinged in their own way, but hands down Zayden is the more psycho of the two of them. And the best part is that while Blake seems sweet and innocent to begin with, the guys totally bring out the unhinged, psycho part of her that was hiding. Honestly these three characters are just perfect for each other and I cannot imagine one without the other two.

I was here for every single second of this book. I didn’t want to put it down and when I had to, I was counting down the seconds until I could pick it back up. Having said that…Please for the love of all that is dark and depraved about this book CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS before you read it! Then if you can handle it, go dive in so you can tell me if you’re a Zayden girl, or a Dom girl…because I can’t pick!

New to me author. Admittedly I chose this book (audio) because of the male narrator. The female narrator was new to me, but I liked her. This book was definitely not my typical pick, and I’m still on the fine about it. I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it either.

I’d definitely try another book by this author though.
