This picture book features a small child who gives all sorts of snuggly winter weather hugs from polar bear hugs to fox hugs to play in the snow hugs. The illustrations are very cute and this is a great book for kids from toddlers through early elementary.

I received a sample fo this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the absolute cutest. The absolute sweetest. The absolute cuddliest! A wonderful tuck-into-bed story. I closed the cover of the library copy and raced to buy a copy for nephews in one house and nieces/nephew in another house. I’m telling EVERYONE to buy this book!!

I'm Going to Give You a Polar Bear Hug by Caroline Cooney is a really cute book for young children about giving different types of hugs. The story goes through different types of animals hugs, such as a polar bear hug, fox hug, seal hug, and bunny hug. I loved how the author described what each hug was like, coordinating it with the type of animal. The flow of the text is perfect and easy to read out loud. The illustrations of each animal are adorable and will capture the attention of any young reader. I believe this is the second book to I'm Going to Give You a Bear Hug by Caroline Cooney; however, it can be read on its own. This will make the perfect book during the wintertime for any child ages 0 to 8. I will be buying this myself when it is available.

I received this book for free via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

We got it through Literati.
We're sending it back.
Lynnix liked the rhymes and the fun of the story, but we don't need a book telling us or our kid that 'prayer' needs to be a part of bedtime routine.
It ruined a perfectly good story. Bleh

Thank you NetGalley and Zonderkidz-Books for gifting me an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

There is one word to describe this book and that is sweet. The pictures are adorable and the story itself is just so cute. I love the flow of the story and how well everything rhymes, I smiled the entire time I was reading. It’s really just the sweetest!

This is an adorable book with a good story. I loved the illustrations and the flow of the words. The sing sing rhymes worked really well and was fun to read over and over again to my daughter. Would definitely recommend and add this to the nightly rotation.

I feel like I've read this 100 times (probably more??), but it never gets old and is so much fun to read to my daughter, who is now 7 months old. Something I recently noticed is how the various animals have a little of the mom's apron on them somewhere, which is such a sweet detail and touch. The rhyming is fun and my daughter gets excited (as in crawls after/chases the book around) when I read it to her. :) Definitely recommended!

From the author of the popular children's picture book 'I'm Going To Give you a Bear Hug!' comes the winter-themed edition, 'I'm going to Give You a Polar Bear Hug'. This is the perfect snuggle up bed-time tale for the colder weather, introducing children to different polar animals, cold weather and those all important hugs. The language is simple, sing-song rhymes that is fun to read out loud as well as listen to. My son is three and absolutely loves this book, I think all younger children will love looking at the bright and cheerful illustrations and the rhyming language, whilst older children will appreciate the detail. I'd recommend it from about two years old up to about six or seven, although you're never too old for a big hug!

My son says this is one of his favourite books now, so it definitely gets five stars from him.
