I read the first installment in this series quite a long time ago (end of middle school, beginning of high school?) and really loved it, so I wanted to finally get around to finishing it.
There is certainly a big nostalgia factor involved in my reading experience but I still think that this is a good book and, overall, a good series.

Personally, its main strength is the wonderful and diverse cast of characters, the children (Reynie, Kate, Sticky and Constance) are especially well portrayed and it is a lot of fun to follow them on their adventures.

I think that the first book is still my favourite (in terms of storyline), but I enjoyed the second volume and it was a nice break from reading heavier and more depressing adult books.
