One word - DEVOURED. Absolutely ate this book up. Jamal and Sienna are perfectly bingeable, a dirty talking mmc and virgin mc - just imagine the shenanigans they get up to 🤭😏 I love these two so much, they deserve so much love and happiness and I’m glad they finally found their home in each other.
Y’all Seraya knows how to much you on that emotional rollercoaster and then almost immediately give you that good spice to make you feel all better. I’m telling you, reading this in the morning BEFORE starting work - oh my, not my smartest ideas lol 😅🫣

SeRaya does it again! I read her first book, Nemesis and I adored it. But Ashes? Ashes leveled everything up for me! This book was freaking phenomenal. From the writing to the characters to the pacing of the story. I looooved morally grey cinnamon roll Jamal. He is the definition of “my wife”! Absolutely touch her and you die! The representation once again is beautifully done. I loved seeing Sienna’s friend’s wedding and how they celebrate. Sienna is that girl. She’s a doctor, beautiful and absolutely a gem. To begin this book we follow Sienna and how her father gambled her life away. Using her as a peace treaty to the mountain of money he owes. But as Sienna is in the middle of her wedding, it’s stopped by a mysterious man, Jamal. He came to collect what was his, and Sienna was his. We follow Sienna and Jamal and how they navigate being newlyweds. The small moments between the two were some of my favorites, how sweet Jamal really is deep down. The spice was ABSOLUTELY spicing and I loved it! SeRaya down right killed this book, hit it out of the park, I am so so so excited for book 3!
I tried to finish reading,but ended up DNF, because I felt that if I continued I would end up in a reading slump. I loved where the book was going, but I felt the book was all over the place making it hard for me to keep up....

If you’re looking for a hot FMC and MMC then this book is for you. Jamal and Sienna are for sure a memorable couple. The banter between the two is absolutely wonderful, especially when you sprinkle it with Jamal’s responses to Sienna 🤭. The way they cared about each other was the absolute sweetest. I can’t mention which parts but the genuine care that both characters have make you believe in true love regardless of trials. One thing I will mention though is that Jamal cooks and he knows how to cook Sienna’s favourite dish which is so cute. Jamal and Sienna are really made for each other and I don’t think anyone can deny that.
