June Farrow is from a long line of women who are cursed with madness. She lives in a small town on a thriving flower farm, but she is worried that her turn is coming.
June’s own mother disappeared when she was just a baby, leaving her to be raised by her grandmother. Now her grandmother has died, and June is hallucinating mysterious doors appearing out of nowhere, and voices and wind chimes that only she can hear.
Determined to prevent these visions from escalating, she discovers from cryptic clues from her grandmother about her mother’s disappearance, and realises that the two are more connected than she once thought.
The writing was so beautiful and I was hooked in quite quickly. While I did like the premise of the story, and I liked where it was going, I ultimately got really confused.
I also struggled with the love interest in the book. There was so little backstory and build up, and I kept waiting for certain scenes to be talked about, but never were. It made it hard to root for them, even though I liked their individual characters.
Even so, the story was really emotionally compelling, and I connected with the writing style. I’ll definitely be reading more works by this author.

I really enjoyed the mystery component and how full circle the end was. My heart strings were being TUGGED.
Yet another time travel story, but this one comes with a creative and emotional mystery subplot that really just propels you through. Couldn't put it down after I started and enjoyed every minute of it. Writing is beautiful, lyrical, and immersive-- found myself re-reading passages just to savor them more.
