I wanna know what really happened to Helena, or if she existed in the first place! It's hard to tell if this is a true-crime book or fiction, so it's hard to feel satisfied after you finish it.

A bit self-obsessed,  but an interesting  book about an American in the underworld of Tokyo.

This is some fascinating bullshit, the man sure knows how to tell tell tales. The book should have been tagged ‘auto-fiction’. Jake Adelstein is like that cousin of yours who saw Bigfoot, was abducted by a UFO and occasionally fights grizzlies with his bare hands.

But don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it. As I said, the man is a storyteller and this read is truly mesmerizing.
