Oh my god.

From bringing back old theatre kid memories to gutting me about the state of the world- this book is gorgeous.

FWIW- if you’re not a geriatric theatre kid or adjacent, it might not hit you in the same way, but I absolutely loved it.

There are many things I loved about CYCLORAMA -- namely, the exploration of life's meandering and yet forever connected paths -- and a few things I didn't but let it stand that I read it in a day because I will devour anything about high school drama clubs. Once a theatre kid, always a theatre kid :')

I won a free copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway.

I’m sorry, but I just didn’t like this book. Very few of the characters are like-able. Most of their actions are appalling. Do any of them really grow or become better people in 35 years? As a teacher, I would hope people like Densmore don’t really exist. I also hope students aren’t as into drugs as they are here. It has a similar feel to Trust Exercise, which I also didn’t really like.
