If you like toxic, OTT possessive, and a manipulative anti-hero, then this is for you. Sam Mariano always writes great obsessive anti-hero and Dare is no exception. If you liked Untouchable I think you will definitely enjoy this story.

Conflicted on the rating honestly. Like it was fine, I enjoyed parts but it’s no untouchable.

Dare legit gets his way the entire way through and Aubrey doesn’t really have a backbone and her logic is cooked.

Was hoping for this one to be untouchable meets cruel intentions and it is but only in the lamest of ways.

There’s not really anything that got me to believe in them as a couple and the ending didn’t exactly wrap things up in the neatest of bows. Really just felt more like Aubrey is contenting herself with an abusive relationship that will carry her through life. Kinda ick.

And yeah, it’s Sam Mariano, so I expect dark themes etc. but had heard this one was far more intense than untouchable… where? Guess I missed that chapter? Maybe it’s more just that Dare is full fkn weird and Carter you can come around to in the end.

I was looking for a book out of my comfort zone and Sam Mariano always delivers that. The most entertaining thing about these stories, for me, is that you really have no clue where is gonna end up, the characters have for better or (in most cases) worst, absolutely no limits. So apart from it being extra-dark is also pretty bonkers, and nothing keeps my attention like a bonkers story does.

4 stars because the book did what it said it would do.
-1 for what was, in my opinion, an unbelievable HEA.

***Also what was up with all the Hannah stuff? Is she getting a book?

One of the best bully romances I’ve ever read. I loved how crazy the mmc was his gf was nuts as well. It made for an entertaining story. Most bully romance books have a very lame reason for the bullying but this one, while the gf reason did make me eye roll, it was also different and I enjoyed it more. The book kept me Wondering if the mmc was lying to the fmc the entire time or if he was falling for her. It was well written and sucked me in.
