I hadn't reviewed it yet because I've been reading it on and off and then on again but at this point I have at least read the whole book twice this year.
It is really helpful when you know what you want to do and it is wonderful to enhance already written manuscripts.

Definitely worth having on your writing shelf. He describes how to make your book unputdownable which boils down to one thing: conflict.

I can tell that the author of this book is more than likely a thriller writer. Examples are also pretty much just murder mysteries or other thriller novels, which isn’t very helpful for me.

Said a bunch of things that I probably needed to hear. Plotting is my weakest area, and I'm pretty balls at conflict. I took everything with a grain of salt and I could probably use a reread of this, but overall I liked it.

Well-structured with illustrative examples from well-known books and movies. Covers all
genres but at least half the examples are thrillers.

I recommend reading Conflict & Suspense by James Scott Bell if you have finished a first draft and are ready to take the story you've written to the next level. We all know that conflict makes a compelling story, but how do you ensure you have enough? Or that the the conflict you do have was executed correctly?
.
This book will explain what you tried to do, how you did it wrong, & what you can do to make it right. It'll also explain what you did right, but how you can still make it better.
