This book is the start of a fresh take on the fantasy genre. I started buying and reading this series because I realized it was based on books, it won't tarnish the image of the games or the books; in fact it will enhance both and make you feel more connected to the story! If you can read, I suggest you read this.

This was a re-read for me.
I read the book first, watched the TV show years later and I did the audio book version this time around. (The German version actually has a great narrator!)
I truly enjoyed all three versions.
The stories in this book are just fantastic and I love every minute of it. It is full of fantastic beasts, magic, myths and monsters, charm, banter and our favorite characters.

This is a great intro book into the Witcher. This is not a true novel, but more of a series of adventures for you to get to know the Witcher. A great intro. If you've seen the series on Netflix already, this will be a great back-filler. If you haven't seen the show yet, this will be a helpful introduction to let you know what kind of fun you are in for. A quick read. Definitely recommend.
