Finally we get the Hunt & Bryce scenes we all wanted in House of Earth and Blood! And some Ruhn (love me some Ruhn). This book was action packed and full of multiple "oh snap" moments (Cormac, Hypaxia, Celestina, Baxion, The Hind). Can't wait to dive into House of Flame and Shadow because how can you not after that cliffhanger?!

I enjoyed this book - I felt it quite slow. Again, I am still not super keen on Bryce but I basically love every other character in the book - the villains are good too (

Mordoc, Harpy and Pollox

). There's lots of inner workings flowing through the main story - and I think without the last few chapters, this book would probably have been a 3.75. The last few chapters were brilliant - a good few twists -

Rhysand appearing, the secret at the Asteri Archives, Cormac dying, Celestina potentially breaking trust and telling Bright Hand things

. I do find the story has a lot of depth to it but I find it moves quite slow. I enjoy the relationships and the dynamics between the guys in the book. I will read the final book but I am not dashing to it.
