At first impression, the memory loss trope was going to be a challenge to get through, but it was quickly revealed to be nothing like I expected and I loved it. The story is becoming so complex and intriguing, I can't wait for the rest of the whole series to unfold.

3.5 Lost our mans (we love a sacrificial bruh), gotta go get our mans, but then find out someone magicked his thoughts to wanna kill your ass. That’s cool.

I was fearful that this book would have “middle book syndrome” but I was pleasantly surprised. It was slow in parts but not enough for me to be bored. I was engaged and actively listened! I’m (after the fact) bummed that I didn’t read the first three again (it’s been a hot minute since I read them) as some characters come into play again in this book that I genuinely can’t remember 😅

Memory magic is pretty fkn cool and homegirl’s skills…grow…so that’s fun too.

Part of me wished I’d read this (at least this particular trilogy) instead of listened because some of the names and places ran together (or maybe my dumbass should just slow my audio down from 2x 😂) or sounded similar enough that I forgot wtf the word meant.

Onward! War be comin (it always is in the shit I read lol)

Heart wrenching and exhilarating. I cannot get enough of this series.
