I'm glad I kept reading because it ended up being worth it but 75% of the book was a snoozefest. It was mostly Malin thinking about Kase and Kase being confused.
All the action happened at the end. I don't need action to enjoy a book but I need more than just mindless filler to keep me interested. My biggest pet peeve is excessive and repetitive introspection. It gets old. We get it. We got it the first time and didn't need it repeated over and over.
Luckily, I read a review that gave a spoiler that the nd was worth it so that kept me reading. I've noticed that this author has a habit of stretching the story with filler and it is tiresome. The plot and ongoing story is super interesting but is ruined because she stretches it out with filler. She should just condense it.

So we got book 5 of the Broken Kingdom series going here. But it’s book 2 of a different couple, and this one is Cinderella mixed with Fae and Vikings. I’m still here for it, I’m still craving it, it’s like McDonalds; I’m loving it.
The new strength and power growth our FMC has in this book is great to see especially when she really got to do all the brain work since Daddy Shadows is away. Yes, that’s what his nickname is right now. But also just the fight and the strong will to get him back, yes girl fight for your man. With a dick described like his, I would too.
Which now leads me to the spice, we get more of it with these two characters and it's hot, steamy, and it’s good. Also the fact that the FMC pretty much uses herself to get him to remember her. Perfection.
