This was a soft, lovely, and satisfying story--bittersweet, but good.

A young space adventurer lies under the wreckage of his ship, paralyzed and with only the faintest hope of rescue. Back home on Earth, his wife is in the midst of giving birth to their child. Each in great need of the other, the couple establish a telepathic link, reassuring one another and reminiscing over the good--if short--life they have led together.

This is a story of incredible softness between two people whose love for one another is almost tangible. It's a beautiful short story, worth every second of the read.
