This was ans utterly fantastic continuation of Jude's campaign to finish out her plan from The Cruel Prince. I couldn't put it down. I literally finished it the same day I started it.

Jude continues to be an inspiring heroine who is both powerful and flawed. Her journey from insecure alien trying to obtain a safe future for herself to ensuring the safety of her family and the country she has come to love has been a fascinating and rewarding one. I am really looking forward to seeing which way her path will take her next.

This is exactly the kind of juicy drama that I live for

I didn't like the first book, but was curious about what would happen next. People said book 2 was better, and it was. Though I didn't love it. I still dislike the characters, but what I did like that this book seemed to have more action. The pacing was faster and I was able to finish this book in a day. The ending was good. Part was to be expected, but not everything.
