Ashley James can write MM like no other. A playboy cowboy and an older, grumpy fireman find themselves matched online except the fireman KNOWS who the cowboy is and swipes right anyways.

When Hollis figures out that the hottie he has been crushing on in a dating app is his best friends older and very off limits boss, he should back away. But when it becomes clear that Ford knew it was him all along he can't walk away.

Soon, they are with each other all the time and spending the night together. Hollis didn't think he was the type of guy to commit but Ford is under his skin and he doesn't ever want to let go.

One scary moment is all it takes for Ford to realize he can't live without Hollis either.

Total Grumpy/Sunshine with a splash of forbidden. So damn good! I can never put a book down that Ashley James writes!

Hollis
by Ashley James is the second book in The Moore Men series, delivering a spicy and emotional romance that will have readers hooked from start to finish. The story follows Hollis, a young man who finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Ford Wesley, his best friend's boss and the recently divorced Captain of the Wolf Creek Fire Department. Ford has always been off-limits, but when circumstances lead him to temporarily stay on his family's property, Hollis sees the perfect opportunity to get closer to him.

The connection between Hollis and Ford is undeniable, and sparks fly almost instantly. What starts as an anonymous, flirty online encounter turns into something much hotter and more intense when Hollis discovers that Ford is the mysterious man he’s been chatting with on an app. Their chemistry is electric, with their secret, no-strings-attached arrangement quickly evolving into something deeper. As their relationship heats up both physically and emotionally, Hollis finds herself craving more than just Ford's body—he’s falling for the man behind the uniform.

The novel perfectly balances steamy romance with heart, exploring the complexities of starting something new after a failed marriage. Hollis, who’s never been one to settle down, and Ford, who’s still healing from his past, have to navigate their growing feelings for each other while confronting their fears about commitment. Ashley James does a fantastic job of developing both characters, making their connection feel real and their struggles relatable.

Hollis
is a fun, passionate, and emotional journey, full of sizzling chemistry, witty dialogue, and just the right amount of tension. The plot is compelling, and the chemistry between Hollis and Ford is palpable, making it a must-read for fans of steamy, character-driven romance. The book is a beautiful exploration of love, healing, and the unexpected turns life can take. It's a story about second chances, finding unexpected love, and taking risks even when the odds seem stacked against you.

I really enjoyed Hollis’s story. It was fun and flirty and extremely sexy. The chemistry between him and Ford was top tier plus add in the little bit of a daddy trope but in more of a fun way it just added to the spice scenes tremendously. Loved that this one was lower angst than the drama we got in Finn’s book. Hollis was funny and a little clueless regarding his feelings. Hoping we get a book for Remi and maybe even Daddy Gentry.

Let me tell you… as soon as I found out that I received the ARC for this book I dropped everything else I was reading and/or doing and started it. Ashley James did not disappoint! I read the entire thing in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down.

Hollis is a young and carefree playboy cowboy who doesn’t usually do repeats. Ford is twenty years older, going through a divorce, and a local firefighter captain. Did I mention that Hollis’ best friend works at the firehouse too and Ford is his best friend’s boss?

While going through a divorce, Ford’s friends at the firehouse convince him to download a popular dating app and what do you know? He matches with one of his coworkers best friends and swipes right.

Hollis gets a new notification that he has a match on the dating app he uses. It’s a very vague profile and usually doesn’t give these types of profiles a time of day. Something intrigues him and he gets to talking with this new mystery guy and he wants to learn more about him. Hollis really enjoys the chase right? That’s why he can’t seem to get the new guy out of his head?

Some time goes by and Hollis is still talking to the mystery guy and still doesn’t know his identity. He goes camping one weekend with his best friend and finds out exactly who his mystery man is. He is very excited because he has always been attracted to Ford. Now that everyone’s identity is out in the open. They decide on a friends with benefits situation because Hollis doesn’t get serious with anyone. The lines start to blur and feelings get involved.

These Moore men are killing me! I love them so much. It was really fun seeing and comparing the POV from Finn and Hollis because these two brothers are so different. Hollis is such a good time, never serious about anything, and he doesn’t care what people think. The chemistry between Hollis and Ford is hot and I loved every second of it. I think the most fun part for me was Hollis being oblivious to himself falling for Ford because he ā€˜doesn’t do relationships’.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and wasn’t able to put it down because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I honestly don’t have any criticism for this book and if Ashley James writes it, I’m going to read it and devour it as fast as possible!

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this book Ashley James and your team. I truly appreciate it! Now I can’t wait to see what happens next for these Moore men and for Gentry to finally take something for himself. I’m sure it will be a phenomenal read as well and I look forward to it.

This was so cute and so fun! Hollis and Ford are so sweet together and loved to see them open up and let each other in. Game night was fun, Remi and Hollis have a great friendship and I love seeing the cameos. I’m excited for the next book!

I am convinced that every single thing ashley james writes is written in pure gold because, oh my god, this was such a good book. I loved Ford and Hollis so much; there were so many cute scenes and the banter between them, especially in the text messages, was such a pleasure to read. The spice was AMAZING but i truly expect nothing less at this point. There were also some moments that had me tearing up and tugged at my heartstrings, which i loved because i am a sucker for a book that makes me feel things. I can not wait for papa Gentry's book next.

Ashley James did it again.
I swear no one can write a
good cowboy book like she
can!
Hollis and Ford stole my
heart. Ford, my sweet-sweet
Ford! I related to him more
than I'd like to admit. His
story is so relatable. Hollis
was definitely the breath of
fresh air Ford needed.
Watching their story unfold
was beautiful. And the spice,
soo good!
Everytime I think I have a
favorite cowboy story from
Ashley she has to go write
a new one and I find myself
addicted to that one! Definitely
a must read and I'd rate it
unlimited stars if I could!
