I never read a professor and student novel except the love hypothesis, buh this book was cringy. Don’t get me wrong, the book did have a lot of smut. The way everything was written, it was just not my cup of tea. Luckily, I did finish the book, but will I read the next book in the series? Absolutely not.

Did not finish..too much cringe
Just awkward from the start and the leading lady made me want to shake her violently. For more reasons than I care to explain, I just can't. So bad.

O.M.G!

Ok i enjoyed the smut it was well written....

I was expecting more mature characters..... I cant really see what a 27 year old professor finds endearing of a hot mess that is Penny.... She's all over the place... she likes Tyler she likes James, she goes on a date with her ex who treated her like crap..... The lesson plan is weird it just seems a tennis match between James and Penny!

And Melissa dont even get me started she seems like the worst friend ever, forcing Penny on dates with her ex so she can double date, forcing her out so she can go on the pull and pick up guys and lastly always interfering and being a real busybody......

James was a bit of a dark character probably the most interesting aspect to the read, the book was ok, i do want to read the second as its left a bit of a cliffy... i dont know if i will carry on after Penny and James story finishes though.

DNF

It’s a super simple read. Don’t expect to be mentally stimulated or left wanting more. I thought about quitting reading it multiple times. The male characters are right. Penny is annoying and infuriating with her immaturity. I get that she’s only 19 and would probably be acting this way to a degree, but she gets mad at him for something, they resolve it and agree to have actual conversation, then she gets mad again about the same thing and again just makes up stuff in her head instead of talking about it. It’s hard to believe a 27 yr old would put up with that repeatedly. It often feels like James is on the brink of abusing her with his anger issues. And no one uses other people’s names in sentences as much as these characters do. Every other sentence they were saying the other person’s name. It was weird.

DNF at 87%. I simply could not finish this book. I hate not finishing books, but this one really irritated me. The main female character bounces between two men. One being the Professor who doesn’t know how to communicate, and two a guy who almost raped her. Her friend is very immature along with the main female character. I can see that the author was trying to go for a “low key college student who liked to keep to herself, doesn’t dress in a flashy way” and the best friend who is “very out going and likes to party and likes to get their friends into some dumb shit and forces the friend to wear flashy things even when the friend doesn’t want to”. It’s very cliché but the annoying type. I was very close to finishing the book, but I couldn’t bring my self to do it. I bought the whole series for $10 off Amazon for kindle. Even if you are into the teacher x student type thing? Find a better book. Because this one isn’t it.

The FMC is totally ok with really shitty behaviour from every man in her life.

Nope. The back & forth from Penny & the fact that this is an 11 book series in total? Everything about this book drove me insane.
