Great book, but it should be called "Oh Crap! I have a three year old." It really was geared toward parents of three year olds, and since I have a soon to be two-year-old, there was a lot that wasn't relevant for me yet. It would have been better if she had included how all the topics were relevant for all toddler ages, but there were still nuggets of treasure strewn throughout. I might revisit this book in a year, because it really is helpful and very accessible.

This is an accessible and informative book for parents of toddlers/pre-schoolers (kids ages 2-5). It is divided into two sections: The Parent Part of the Book, which encourages self-care as a way to be a good parent, and The Kid Part of the Book, which provides practical suggestions for raising children in this age group.

I received an ARC from NetGalley. The book will be released on June 4, 2019.

Since my major was special education I felt that I knew a lot of this (you may have a kid who is 11 but cognitively they act like they are 3- it’s hard for them to process certain things sometimes). So a lot of it already knew because it’s what I have been taught and trained in for the past 10 years. But it also had some other new information that I really enjoyed.

⚠️ Strong language used.

This is hands down the best toddler parenting book I have ever read! I especially loved the chapters on boundaries, time management and establishing parenting values. I have a feeling I'll be reading this over and over again as my daughter grows.

Jamie does it again! I love how relatable and "unpolished" she is. It makes it easy to feel like you are talking to another mom vs being preached at. There are tons of actionable takeaways and things you can immediately implement. And, best of all, it doesn't make you feel like you are a shit parent like some parenting books can tend to "tone" at the reader. 4.5 stars

A great look at where toddlers are developmentally and how our parenting can affect that. It really helped me have realizations about my daughter and how to encourage her growth.
