This one has been my favourite of the stories so far. Honestly if you have a soft spot for the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, you’ll probably like this one.

I love that we got to experience more of Cibbos as a planet, as Zatruk was introduced in book 3. I always enjoy seeing the different cultures of the species in each book, everything from traditions, celebrations, food and Faux pas’ are included, as well as illustrations at the end of the books of creatures that were mentioned in the story.

These are super fun, easy reads and although there are sometimes high stake situations, it’s never stressful to read about and they always leave you feeling warm and fuzzy.

I actually think this storyline is pretty compelling but it needs to be edited and tightened.

This one was barely entertaining for me. I'm unsure if I was just not in the mood to read this, but it took me so long to get through it. There's an obvious lack of conflict or tension; everything goes too smoothly for them. Rihanna and Zatruk instantaneously fall in love, and the formula doesn't allow them to grow from that. They stay the same throughout the story, and when Rihanna accepts to stay with him, it's so inconsequential for the reader, that I just wanted to move on.

I can't even recommend this as a short story because it took me a week to finish it (outrageous, for a book so short and so simple). Still, I love the concept and the worldbuilding was interesting, even if I couldn't engage with it. The most enjoyable part is Wonjin, a side character that the fans begged Abel to write about. I get it. I will read the next one in the hope it gives me what I wanted with this series (just a bit more angst, that's all I'm asking).
