I KNEW IT!!!!!

I knew she was still working with Alaha/Kai!!!! It was good and I enjoyed it but not as surprised as what I thought I would be. Excited for book two and it’s nice to see the FMC betray the MMC for once and not the other way around. Rooting for them to get back together once he understands her reasoning for doing what she did even if she did do a number on him

what the hell did i just put myself through?

no actually what the hell

the emotions i just felt are entirely new to my repertoire and i dont know what to do with myself holy shit

The plot twist that broke the internet? I rolled my eyes. If course it was unexpected
the FMC was an unreliable narrator we would never have seen it coming
I'm not impressed and won't be continuing the series

Okay, I thought I was going to like this book but every time I thought it was “getting better” it ended up making me really disappointed. I thought the twists were either predictable, or really annoying and killed the whole vibe of the rest of the book. I think I am being kind with a 2.5 ⭐️ rating. Curious to see where it goes but also would probably just read a spark-notes version of book 2 to not feel like I wasted my time? Hated the ending, I think that’s what’s making me so bitter about the rest of the book when I did enjoy the other parts. The end just ruined the entire vibe for me.
