This is the same book as "The Truth Teller's Lie" by Sophie Hannah (Spilling CID #2)

If you love Criminal Minds, you'll probably like this one, too.
I haven't read the first one and read this straight away but I wasn't lost. The author tells what happened to the police characters.
It was full of plot twists I didn't even see or because the author was good at distracting me and making me trust some of the characters. It was so good that I immediately bought the next book.
Trigger warning though: sexual assault and rape.
Some of the things that happened are very disturbing and twisted so please bear that it mind before reading it.

A dark, disturbing tale. I was hooked to it from the beginning. All the characters in this are weird - they think and act in a convoluted manner, the protagonists as well as antagonists are a bit kinky. This is a deep psychological study rather than a thriller, per se. It deals with trauma sustained by women who are raped and how they go on to form relations with other men later on. Was not a pleasant read, but was quite an enjoyable page turner

A good one! I love how Sophie Hannah describes material life so well as part of the plot.

I think I am addicted to this Sophie Hannah Series. This was book 2 and although they are kind of quirky and silly I think they are exactly the kind of light reading I need right now while I am back going back to school.

I'm so into mysteries lately and Sophie Hannah writes some pretty easy to read, fun, psychological thrillers. I like the format of her books, switching narrators each chapter, and I like the way they wrap up neatly at the end. It's the reading equivalent to Law & Order and I like it, damnit.

The first book I have read by this author and wow what a good book to start off with, just when you thought you had figured out what was happening POW something else happened and you were left clueless. Great book highly recommend
