I finished this book and my heart was racing like I’d run a 5k. The author did an excellent job making this horrendous situation realistic and really makes you wonder what you would do in the same situation and makes you realize you’d do the exact same thing. Genuinely scary stuff.

I liked it, it definitely kept me turning pages and I read it beginning to end in a day and a half because I HAD to know how it ended. However, as stated by some Goodreads reviewers, the prose was pretty flowery, the restaurant owners inner monologue was cringe AF and distracting because I kept thinking how lame she sounded. 

Other than that though, I thought it was a really interesting premise and an easy read. I think I’d like to see a similar story redone with better character development and psychological motive but meh, The Quiet Tenant wasn’t bad.
