everything about this was perfect: dickens writing, the characters, the plot lines, just everything. how he made such iconic characters with such distinct personalities and managed to weave their storylines with scrooge’s one was perfect. this was such a good introduction to dickens.

Christmas Classic, I am surprised it took me this long to finally read, but I enjoyed it!
a classic. couldn’t stop picturing michael caine and the muppets as i read, though
I've read this Dickens classic every year in December for several years now, a tradition I intend to continue indefinitely! This edition is made particularly magical by P.J. Lynch's gorgeous illustrations. I can't wait to share this with my kids someday. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I needed a quick, feel-good, and iconic Christmas story to match the season, so I turned to A Christmas Carol narrated by Hugh Grant. His warm and engaging delivery perfectly captured the festive charm and emotional depth of Dickens’ classic. By the end, my spirits were lifted, and I’m ready to tackle my TBRs.
Dickens’s skill at writing is just so prevalent in this. I was immediately transported and it was an amazing, immersive reading experience. I almost wish it was longer but I think it is fitting that it is novella’s length. So, so good. I’m excited to read more Dickens!
