I just really love the premise and characters so much that giving this 5 stars was a no brainer 🤷🏻♀️
For a shounen title, this was a promising start. Yes, it's a bit slap-stick and cliche in parts. Yes, you probably already read a similar storyline. However, the characters are fresh and the main two (Raku and Chitoge) are interesting and funny. Even though they don't get along--for now, obviously--it's an odd chemistry that makes the storyline work and makes me want to read more. If this were a drama, I don't think it would work so well. The comedy elements propel the ridiculous premise into something enjoyable. The alternative love-interest, Onodara, is a little empty yet, but there's a glimmer of a deeper backstory. She's obviously going to be connected to the others, so I'm sure she'll get fleshed out. It may have been more of a three in some parts, but I figure if a manga makes me laugh out loud more than a few times, it deserves a little extra.
A silly premise with pretty straightforward characters. It is fun to see the difference between stereotypically attractive female qualities in Japanese vs. American culture.

The pacing and panel layouts are horrible and kill what would otherwise be passably mediocre visual gags. Really tired tropes here being used unironically but with zero redeeming characters to pull it off. Unfunny, not very interesting to look at, and boring.
Its cute and its funny. But in the middle of the story i get bored. It have 229 chapter and i feel like it will take forever for me to finish it. But i keep to read it as i want to know who the girl that raku have promised to married ten years ago. Is it chitoge or onodera ?
I root for chitoge since the first chapter even though Raku like onodera since they still junior high school. I like chitoge as she is a tsundere type girl. She and Raku have to act like they are dating to keep their family from fighting each other because of business. How and why is that happen ?! you have to read it.
Raku and chitoge have to be in fake relationship for 3 years. I keep root for chitoge coz i though she is the one that Raku promised to married when they are still child. But, in the end, its not. It was onodera. Wow ! It was like Raku have liked Onodera since they were still child until he they in high school.That really sweet right. But Raku didn't realized that while he and chitoge were in fake relationship, slowly he fall in love with Chitoge. He just realized it then when their father said that they don't need to act as a couple anymore.
In the end, he choose Chitoge over Onodera. I feel pity for Onodera, but this remind us that someone is destined for you in this life,its doesn't matter if the person that you like before is different with the person that you have like in present because she or he is your destiny and its fate. And i think, Chitoge also deserve to get what she want because ten years ago she did something that very kind to raku and onodera, you have to read it if you want to know more, hehe.
I must say that like 50 0r 40 last episode was the best. I start feeling the excitement reading this manga.

This series just seems like a collection of cliches.
We have the two teens forced into a relationship by families, we have the high schoolers with yakuza/gangster connection, the marriage promise made as children (complete with forgetting the name and face of the promised love) and that is to name just a few.
I like some aspects of it but I am struggling to get past the cliches and can't see it being very exciting!

This manga/anime is one of my favourite romance but you can also say a mystery Manga! Like I Legit love all the characters and that's the hard part because shipping couples becomes impossible without having a mental breakdown ❤️ I highly recommend to read 📖
