I went back to this series after getting tired of it after the previous book since I'm going to a signing that the author will be attending. I'm glad I made it through, because this book is MUCH better than the previous one! Good, solid action, a swift plot, fun character interactions, the whole she-bang. Plus, this time around I caught and understood the reference to Sweet Evil

Opposition read like fanfiction. So yay? Nay? Hard to say.

(But I still quite enjoyed it nonetheless.)

seriously why can't this series go on forever? I'm going to miss Daemon Black so much! and Katy is my bae I need more! Hopefully spinoffs are in the works because Archer and Dee and baby Ashley and ugh just such a good conclusion Jennifer never disappoints the humor is definitely my favorite thing the epilogue was so good! just read it! 5/5 love want more

What I love - Jennifer Armentrout is not afraid to write longer series and keep her couples together throughout them. I also know that I don't need to fret about her finales. They will be filled with action and tension, but also swoon and ultimate happy making.

In the Lux series, Katy and Daemon go through ups and downs, but we get to see them as a powerful team through several books. There are no weird breakups or love triangles in this series. I feel like I know Katy and Daemon individually and as a couple, and can truly understand why they are a great match. I loved the way this particular book began - I was definitely freaking out, but it led to some of my favorite scenes between these two.

It's true that I'm more interested in the characters than anything else in this series. Not just Katy and Daemon but their entire entourage - Dawson, Beth, Archer, Dee, Luc and a few others. But I also very much enjoy how much Armentrout has expanded the Lux world and mythology from when Katy discovered aliens living next door in Obsidian. Now this alien civilization is taking over the world, and Katy and Daemon must work together with their friends and some unlikely allies before the invasion and destruction is complete. Opposition has Katy and Daemon, lots of action, some freak out moments and is all together a solid, satisfying JLA approved conclusion.

The feels I have finishing this series is unreal. If I could wipe my mind and read this book on a clean slate, I would do that 100 times over. But since that cannot be done, I will just read it over and over until I memorize every luminous moment between Katy and Daemon. By far, one of my favorite series on the planet. Scratch that, in the universe. Jennifer L. Armentrout you are god.

Meh.

This was super anticlimactic. Readable but not overly enjoyable.

Closed all the loose ends though, so there’s that.

I received this for my birthday which I am so please about as I have loved this series and this one is no different...

I must admit I'm not a huge fan of this change of cover as I prefer the older version but now that I have a physical copy of the book I like it a bit more the more that I look at it.

I am so sad that I have now finished this series but it sure did go out on a bang. I loved every minute of this book as there was always something going on that I was never bored. There was a lot of emotional bits that had me either laughing out loud or crying, my heart was in my mouth in one scene that I almost thought I can't finish this book but I'm glad I did. The connection between Katy and Daemon always has me swooning they are great together with great chemistry, I will sure miss their relationship well until I re-read the series. I adored the ending as I felt it was a fitting ending for this series.

Katy will always be one of my favourite female characters as through out this series she has grown into this strong and independent person who will stop at nothing for the ones she loves. Daemon is another character that will always be one of my favourites as he has come on in leaps and bounds. He still has his annoying traits but I still love him for them as they are what make Daemon Daemon. I love that we got to see a bit more of Archer and Luc as they are always adding humour to the books that they have appeared in plus I love the banter between Archer and Daemon. We also got to see a little more of characters from the spin off book Obsession.

Overall an amazing end to a fantastic series!

2nd read (audio)
Still such an epic ending. Now I totally remember/understand things mentioned in the spinoff series now. Such an epic experience re-reading this book.

I can't believe it's over! I am so sad and so depressed and don't even know what to do with myself. Lucky for us she writes a new book a day and a new series a week, so my plan is to just buy all her other books and bask in her writing style. I have a very good feeling I will get hooked to at least one, if not all, of her other series. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to this series and thought it was beautiful and perfect. There is something big that happens in the last chapter that had me crying, but I mean it couldn't have ended THAT perfectly. I absolutely loved the epilogue and thought it was the cherry on top. I highly recommend that those who had read the other lux books rip the bandaid off and read the last book and highly recommend that those of you who haven't started this series GET ON IT!

omg, no no no no no no! It's over, I can't believe it's really over. I think I need to go curl in a ball and cry for a while :'( ok, dramatics aside, this book was, god words fail me. Is it even possible for Jennifer Armentrout to write anything that isn't heart seizing to frickin beat perfect?! As far as book boyfriend's go, Daemon, just wow. Daemon tops all my lists :))) and everything just fit so nicely together and I got to read about my favorite characters one last time.. (ok internally sobbing.) on the plus side I can always reread. The ending was perfect, the book was perfect, the series was perfect. Jennifer Armentrout you're a goddess and I am bowing at your feet!!!
