Everything about this book is perfect, there is nothing I can say or do to show how grateful I feel for this series and how it's changed my life, but I'M AN EMOTIONAL WRECK RIGHT NOW. IT'S OVER. NO MORE DAEMON. AND NO MORE KATY.
SpoilerBut hey, at least they have Adam
, AND I CAN STILL WRITE FANFIC.

Honestly, this book was perfect, it really was. The perfect conclusion to one of my favorite and most worshipped series. THANK YOU JLA

To state it simply, this entire series surprised me. It's been on my TBR list since 2012 and I don't know why I hadn't gotten around to reading it until this year. I don't think I've ever read an entire series this fast and that speaks volumes because my mind can't focus on one story for long. But damn Katy and Daemon had me hooked completely and I could NOT stop reading. The writing was fantastic and had me giggling (out loud) and had my heart aching at the heartbreaking moments. I think the Lux series has taken the spot of my #1 favorite series for me. Now for every time I hear thunder, see lightning or experience a meteor shower (which strangely enough there was one last night!), I will always think 'OMG that's a Luxen'... maybe because I'm weird like that. But I loved the dynamic of all the characters and I'm so happy about where things ended but I'm so sad to not spend my day reading about Daemon and his Kitten <3. Truly a magnificent read and I loved each moment. I'll definitely be seeking out other stories by Jennifer because I love the world she built and the characters she brought to life. Two last things:
1) I need movies for this!
2) What the heck was in the note that Daemon gave Kat in class? I need to know.

I love love love this series. I stumbled onto it and I wasn’t quite sure if I like it after the second book but as I went on I fell in love with the characters and the twists and turns all throughout this book.

I ended up really enjoying this series! The second book was a little iffy, but after I made it through that one, the series picked back up and became a guilty pleasure. And this was a satisfying conclusion

there’s no such word to describe this serie.
at first, I wasn’t sure that i would like this whole extraterrestrial story, but now that i’ve finished it, I just want to reread it again and again because it’s truly amazing.
this ending broke my heart, and I can’t realise I am leaving behind this incredible universe that made me both laugh and cry, that same universe that made me overcome by a multitude of emotions.
this last volume was so addictive, I couldn’t let myself put aside the book, i needed it to finish it, to know what will happen next, but when I reached the epilogue, I completely freaked out, the last chapters were insane (and I was thinking like wtf is going on right now ?) and wow now that I’ve finished it I can’t get myself together, I need more of katy’s obsession for books, and more of daemon taking jabs at her, i need more of dee and dawson and bethany and luc, and more of every single character in this serie.
so thanks jennifer for giving a life to this figures and making that serie happens.

This felt like a good completion to this series but I was a little underwelmed though. Maybe it was me listening to the audiobook, but I needed some more. I was excited about the overall action and drama, but still missed some more depth in the world building with the colony and the other aliens. Not sure if I will pick up the Origin series.

My Rating: 4 stars

1. This series is amazing you NEED to read them. Your life is not complete without Daemon Black.

2. I loved Opposition.

But…

The first four books (Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Origin) were the kind of books that make you love reading. I have so many feels for them and really, few books can compare.

But Opposition was different. It was still amazing and I loved it, but I didn’t love it as much as the others. It wasn’t the kind of love for a book that leaves me unable to think about anything else.

All of the characters were amazing as always – Daemon, Katy, Archer, Dee, Luc.

What made this less epic was that I expected a bit more. More tension, more angst, more of me feeling like I’m going to die because the book is just that freaking awesome. It seemed to me like all the problems were solved a bit too quickly and easily. Also, I was reading the paperback copy with the Shadows novella in the back. I didn’t realise this so towards the end I thought there was more coming when actually the book was pretty much over.

But having said all of that, I adored the way JLA wrapped up the book and the series. Despite my feelings about Opposition I’m still I love with the Lux series and always will be. So I repeat… READ THIS SERIES!!

This book series has been in my favourite list for ages. First books I read about aliens and first book ever of Jennifer. I'm not really sure when I first read them but even though more than 6 years have passed, I'm still in love with them❤️
