A well written story of the genetic discovery.

Well written, well researched. This book exposes important information about the state of the art of genetics. It takes the reader from the beginnings of genetics with Mendel and takes us to present day bleeding edge stuff. It presents important, hard questions about the morality of the decisions we will be forced to make once the science of genetics is advanced enough. Good read.

I preferred the Emperor of All Maladies, but this was an excellent book on a difficult topic. Took awhile, but I'm glad I kept up with it.

Very well written, both informative and thought-provoking. I like that it wasn't just straight facts and science, but that there was a human and emotional level to it as well.

I'm sorry, guys. I just couldn't do it. There's nothing wrong with this book. I just don't care enough about genetics. I got through 300 of the 500 pages and that was just the best I could do! Thanks to Jillian for the rec, anyways <3

Quite gripping even for a non-biology person.
