¿Que se hace después de haber terminado esta historia? AME ♥️

I’m so heartbroken this series has come to an end. Thomas will forever be my book husband, yes, I said it, husband! He’s mine ladies.

The first part of this book was completely unneeded. Thomas's dad blocking their marriage didn't add anything to the book and just pissed me off. They could have easily gotten married and the story could have continued on normally. Part two of the book was so much better and made this book a three stars. Honestly, without Thomas's brains in this book, I don't know if they would have found the killer. The final fight seen was fun and suspenseful. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't meet Jack the ripper in the first book, which makes me think that Kerri Maniscalco changed her mind half way through the series about who Jack actually was. I did like the ending of the book where she proved Jack wrong about her being a killer and saved him at the last minute. That was a good touch to the story.

3.5 ⭐

Probably my favorite for sure with the romance and all that but I thought the mystery was the most boring, I thought it could have gone somewhere else and felt a bit rushed or just like she picked someone to be the bad guy. I really liked the Holmes story line though just wish it was someone that made a bit more since!

The finale was not shocking in any way whatsoever. I felt like the first three-fourths of this book kind of dragged on. The urgency and suspense weren't really there and having Thomas' ex-fiancée show up out of nowhere to challenge the legitimacy of their marriage was pretty lame. I couldn't stand Thomas' dad because he was blackmailing them.

The romance in this one was just...bad. We barely get Thomas in the last book, Escaping from Houdini, and then suddenly, things pick back up between him and Audrey. It felt like their relationship was put on pause the solve the mystery for a good chunk of this book so I didn't really feel the chemistry.

While I am disappointed with the conclusion of this series, it was such a pleasure to follow Audrey and Thomas from London to Romania to New York and finally Chicago. Thank you Kerri Maniscalco for such a fantastic, macabre series with a female lead.

THIS BOOK TORE MY HEART APART AND THEN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER

I little disappointed. I loved the first 2 books, but these last 2 felt rushed and seemed to lose focus. Which sucks because the premise of Jack the Ripper was really interesting but it became more about drama that didn’t make sense or follow any of the growth the characters had made in the first 2 books. The killer was so obvious that I guessed him the second we met him. They even described who it was in one chapter and in the very next Wadsworth meets him and sees he matches the description and still writes him off?? I wanted to pull my hair out. The “romantic” drama in the book was apparently wrapped up off page that the character basically gave a “by the way” that’s all settled, so we are good 🤦🏻‍♀️  what was the point of introducing it in the first place if you were going to do nothing with it but waste pages? I can’t help but feel like the author was rushed to get these books out and it caused chaos on the page, which really sucks because the premise was so good and the first 2 books were actually good.
