I am so happy to be finished with this series!

I thought this book was good, and I was thrilled by the advances in Audry Rose and Thomas’ relationship. However, this book focused SO MUCH on their relationship, and not much else. The mystery and murderer were on the back burner until the very last bit of the book. When Audry Rose came to the realization of who the killer was, it seemed rushed and out of the blue. One page she wasn’t sure who it was, and the next she had figured it all out. It just seemed very rushed and sudden. I also felt that a lot of what happened with Thomas and Audry Rose was repetitive. I don’t know exactly how many times they professed their undying love for each other, but it was a lot. By the end I was like okay, we get it, you love each other eternally. Also, the epilogue seemed a bit repetitive as well. I didn’t think we needed another wedding scene.
OH AND the entire plot with Miss Whitehall seemed like SUCH a cheap plot device. I was not at all a fan of that.
Anyway, for me I loved the characters enough to suffer through some of the more ridiculous parts of this book. Overall, I did really enjoy myself. I had a great time hanging out with Audry Rose and Thomas, witnessing their very sweet as well as funny moments. Just know this is VERY short on the mystery and very intense on the romance.

“Beyond life, beyond death, my love for thee is eternal.”

This novel took a lot of twists and turns that I was not expecting, and I loved near every second of it. My only complaint with the book would be a spoiler, so I will just say that it relates to the villain of the series. Even that did not take away from the overall love I had for this book, and how sad I am that this series is over. However, I do love how it ended and wouldn't change a thing.

I still love Kerri Maniscalco's writing style, but I did not love this book, unfortunately. I believe that an author's presence online can result in book changes that wouldn't have been made if they stayed off of social media.

This book completely threw away the original plotline of book one as well as the murder mystery itself. Why would I care why is going to portray HH Holmes in this book if his name is literally HH Holmes? Even though I also had my complaints about finding out who the murderer was in book one, at least we got to figure it out. This book took away all mystery and turned into a dramatic romance novel.
Because honestly, why was that whole drama with Thomas' father even added? It did not make any sense and there was no plotline at all. All it did was create drama, unnecessary. Which was resolved at the end of the book in a stupid way that was way too easy to be believable? Oh, it's all in the connections. Okay. No thanks.

This book started as the other books of this series, but soon threw away all the postmortem examinations and exchanged it for romance, drama, and a lame mystery that was way too obvious.
Also, the murder castle is one of the most interesting things that could have been written about and it just did not deliver. I either wanted to know more while Audrey Rose stayed there, or wanted to hear more facts afterward when the police found HH Holmes. But the murder castle burned down, they caught him without any evidence, and that's the end guys. Audrey Rose and Thomas live happily ever after.

This one was a bit hard to wrap my head around at times. I struggled with the time line and framing, but I loved getting to see the conclusion of these on-going mysteries. I also loved that things were finally more settled for our duo. A fun series to read and enjoy during spooky season.

I love these characters and am sad this ends the series.

What a good end to a series! I just simply adore Audrey Rose and Thomas.

I’ve been working on finishing series I’m in the middle of, so it’s also very satisfying to tick off another box✅

I was so scared that I wouldn't like it after the disaster that was the last book but luckily that was not true. A good ending to a good series. The plot was fast pace and had me wanting to turn the pages. The best part of course was Audrey Rose and Thomas, they have such a special place in my heart, I truly adore them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I did guess who did it a few chapters before the characters did, which made the reveal slightly less impactful, however, the development of Audrey Rose throughout the book but especially in the last few chapters and seeing her really holding her own was really great to see. I also love the romance, with a fair bit of spice in this book, which was really well done. And it had a really satisfying ending on pretty much every storyline, which was great.
