OH. MY. GOD. This book exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I have no words to describe how much I loved this book. If you haven't read the Stalking Jack the Ripper series already, please do so. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I'm sad it's over. Be right back, I'm going to cry.

”Despite the plummeting temperature in our carriage I felt the sudden need to fan myself. He pulled his attention back up to mine, lips quirked upward.
‘Perhaps you'll be the one getting me warm. I'm not opposed to either scenario, really. Ladies' choice.’
My cheeks pinked. ‘Scoundrel.’"

thank god this book was good after that last one. the actually element of the first book was back & made this book so good!! something i noticed is the back of these books always like spoil the book in a way…. which is why i was able to predict what happened but it was still good nonetheless!!

(btw there was a quote about the clouds being pregnant and giving birth to rain????? that made me laugh)

The final book. What do I think. This book is EVERYTHING. It was an amazing wrap up to my all-time favorite series. I will miss you Creswell <3

Brilliant ending to the series!

I looooved this last installment. I also didn't know about quite a few of the historical facts included, so I really appreciated the author's note at the end of the book. Yup, that's the Ravenclaw in me.

I'm really going to miss these characters!
What a wild ride this last book has been. If you've read
Erik Larson's Devil in the White City
you will find some of this familiar. Nonetheless compelling to the last second!

So I didn’t realize I had started reading the last book of the series instead of the second, so, instead of wondering the conclusion of the series, I already know the outcome! Which is quite perfect for me. I’m usually - a skip to the last couple of chapters of a book just to see the outcome kinda girl anyway. With that being said, again, for her first novels, I enjoyed reading this book. It is very well written, very detailed and again I thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters and their unique personalities. This book continued the journey of Audrey Rose and her pathologist partners, her uncle and her love interest Thomas Creswell. Thomas provided alot of comedic relief in this novel, juxtapose with his vulnerability as he opens up about his depth of feeling for Audrey Rose. It seems that I missed out alot of what happened on the boat ride over to the states with the ring master of a traveling carnival so I’m quite eager to head back to the 2nd and 3rd book.

they are horrible detectives but alas i am too

where was the mystery???

ACTUALLY SO GLAD TO BE DONE WITH THIS SERIES NOT EVEN GONNA LIE
