I'd disembowel the world and bathe in its blood if someone murdered him.

⚠️Trigger Warning: Graphic Death, Violence⚠️

This book is perfection! Not only does it repair all the damage from Escaping from Houdini that its ending and the novella couldn't fix, but it also details the most shocking case in Audrey Rose's and Thomas's careers. The White City Devil is Audrey Rose and Thomas's most horrific foe to date, and one who has a personal connection to both of them, especially Audrey Rose. He is certainly something to fear. Also, Audrey Rose recurringly mentions throughout the series that: 1. she constantly feels watched, no matter where she is, and 2. that she refuses to become the kind of monster she hunts, both of which are spectacular foreshadowing for the events of this book.

Even though the whole wedding sub-plot between Thomas and Audrey Rose is barely a conflict and is entirely anticlimactic, especially in comparison to the shock of the main plot, I can't find it in me to hate that my babies are finally happy and officially together and that this issue barely makes a dent in their feelings and behavior toward each other.

I was so pleased with this final installment in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. I was a bit concerned that the author might try to be “edgy” and end with tragedy, so I’m pleased that this author has nothing against HEA’s. It felt so rewarding having stuck with the series through each book (even though EFH tested my endurance) to see this conclusion.

There are so many things I love about Audrey Rose and Thomas, but I really appreciate Kerri’s desire to write about a heroine who is differently abled.

Lastly, after all the trauma Audrey Rose has endured, the completion of her arc in this installment felt immensely satisfying.

3.5
I loved that this installment focused more on the relationship between the two main characters AND that the killer was tied into the World’s Fair in Chicago.
My only issue is that both characters are constantly so unsure of the other one’s feelings for them that it got to be a little annoying. For instance, Audrey was about to marry Cresswell before chaos ensues, but it was eventually settled. Then Cresswell comes to her worried she doesn’t want to spend her life with him. Like what? She was going to marry you, so of course she wants to spend her life with you. You both worked through the drama, why are you all of a sudden unsure?
I still liked it tho s

MY CHILDREN :((((

A fantastic last book to finish the series. She gave us a proper villain by once again pulling from history a real life monster. It was beautifully woven between fact and fiction how our characters became involved with the killer and the investigation. We even got a happily ever after!

Holy smokes I finished this book in one day. This book was awesome. It made all the books go around in a full circle and brought us back to the beginning of the Jack the ripper murders I absolutely loved every minute of it including the heartbreak the sadness and the joys. This book gave me all the feels and I absolutely love and adore this series.

An absolutely AMAZING end to the series.

Wow. What a rollercoaster. It definitely brought back some references to the previous books. I kind of called the ending, which was a little disappointing, but still a thrill ride.

This is probably tied for first place with Stalking Jack and Prince Dracula. I loved it and thought it was the perfect ending to the story. It really tied everything up nicely. I don’t want to give anything away but it was really good. The whole series is phenomenal and I do not read YA but this felt like an adult book.

Thomas is husband, boyfriend, soulmate GOALS. He’s everything. Audrey Rose is inspirational. I loved them both so much and they were the perfect couple. Even though they are like 17-18 in the series they are 19-21 in my head.

Highly recommend this series. It’s 10/10

This book worked on my heart strings a lot. Lots of tension/suspense and romance. Perfect ending for this series
