Audrey Rose+ Thomas Cresswell best partners in crime
I just want to erase all of my memories to read the series once again.
I adore it, I adore Audrey and Thomas so so much, I've no words for them
No matter how hard I tried to take this series slow because I don't wanna finish this soon, I failed and now I'm heartbroken crying
This just became one of my top 5 fav reads of 2021 <3

this was a good ending to a fun series.
at the start of this book I was not exited to pick this book up because I did not really enjoy book two and book three. but I have been surprised with this book. capturing the devil goes back to the story line of the first book stalking jack the ripper. and I like that the author did that. ending the book with what we have started. the characters are well done have nothing to say on them they are just perfect. the plot was alright better than book two and three. did I wished the ending would have went a little bit differently "yes" I do. but that is alright. but the one big downside for me is that this series is very slow paced. it takes me longer to read, and I felt like some scenes and dialogue are repetitive. but overall a very enjoyable series to read.

this is the second time i put down this book, and i think its for good this time.
the first time, my loan expired and i had to put it on hold, however when it was available again i kept delaying it for MONTHS cause I had no interest in picking it back up
when I finally re-checked it out, I found myself not caring for the story line and it got SO physical, like every other page was an intense make-out and then some…
and im not into that…
tldr: dnf because i didnt care about the storyline and it got pretty physical.
from what i read: multiple steamy scenes and at least one spice scene
stealing this from someone else’s review (thanks lol): “Im pretending this series ended at book 2” :)

Minor: Body horror, Death, Gore, Sexual content, Blood, Medical content, Death of parent, Murder, Injury/Injury detail
most content warnings relate to the whole premise of murder and the detail of the victims
sexual content: minor, but steamy throughout
An emotional, romantic and fascinating victorian mystery with fun, passionate characters that wraps up the series with an excellent bow. I enjoyed the adventures of Audrey Rose and Thomas and their growth as people and a couple was a pleasure to witness.
“Beware of trusting beautiful creatures. They hide the most wicked surprises.”
This is the fourth and final book in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. To me this was the best ending you could wish for. I really liked the murder mystery in this book. It did feel a bit too coincidental at first, but it did make more sense later on. I loved how we got to see some old friends, from the previous book. Their presence wasn’t that large, but it’s a detail I could appreciate. The ending to this book was great! I loved how it was so thrilling and unexpected. It was so difficult to find out what the reasoning was behind the murders.
I didn’t like the romantic problem in this book. It made me feel a lot of things, but it felt a bit unnecessary. The ending to those problems, were also a bit rushed. But Thomas and Audrey Rose totally made up for that. I cannot express how much I love those two. They caused a lot of spicy situations, and they did have their arguments, but it was just right!! They simply are the perfect duo.
To me this felt like a great ending to the adventure. I don’t think another book would add something new. But this one definitely tied all the strings together. This was a 5 star read for me. But I don’t think I will want to read this again. Since I already know who the murderer is, the tension is gone. Still, Audrey Rose and Thomas have a place in my heart.
