Good, but too much Michelle. In my opinion, she is a dull character that adds nothing to the story. She has no personality. I know she is probably meant to be the normal female in Hannah's life but she needs something that makes her unique. And exactly how old is Tracey now? She seemed way too grown up if Bethie is supposed to be about 3.

A new love interest out of left field, and really just annoying. The murder mystery was decent, but not extremely difficult to figure out.

I notice that most other reviewers had much the same reaction to this book that I did. Much like the Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum/Morelli/Ranger love triangle has gotten played out after 20 some books the Hannah/Norman/Mike triangle was stale. As I tried to figure out the greatest mystery of this book, how a self proclaimed frump with a penchant for sweatpants but willing to dress up in a pant suit (my 80 year old grandmother finds pantsuits fashionable, after that...) has managed to string along (amicably I might add) the town's two most eligible bachelors, I was surprised to have a third bachelor enter the picture. Throwing aside all the caution and chastity she seems to have been practicing all these years she seems ready to make a decision. The actual mystery was a vaguely threaded through the story but not well. I'm afraid this series is like a recipe that has lost its crowd pleasing tastiness and can no longer assuage the readers appetite.

I'm going to come back to it eventually, I just don't have the bandwidth right now

I give the recipes 5 stars, the story 3. Honestly, I only read these for the recipes. I stopped caring about Hannah and her sisters (and her love triangle) years ago.

While I still think the earlier books are much stronger than the later ones have been, this one was all right. It would have been great to have a little more focus on the actual mystery - by the time the big reveal came, it actually had lost some of its oomph, because I had to go back and remind myself what was going on with that. Most of the book was focused on the recipes (which sound good) and Hannah's love life (which got worse, much worse). Though I personally don't think adding a third suitor to a pretty firmly defined love triangle is the best solution, the worst part was that Hannah immediately thought she was madly in love with this new interloper. Instalove trope to escape a long-lasting love triangle trope was a little bit much. It would be nice if the mysteries were a little bit stronger and more centrally placed in a mystery series. Moishe was great though!

Fun, frothy, entertaining mystery series. I get exactly what I'm looking for, which is light entertainment that doesn't require a ton of thought.

Ugh! I loved this series from the beginning, but the 'love triangle' was drawn on far too long. I skipped the last one, Blackberry Pie Murder based on the reviews, but listened to this one and regret it. Dora the Explorer is more to the point and mysterious than this book. I agree with the other reviewers that it doesn't seem like the same writing style and the long winded explanations and unnecessary descriptions are rotten, awful and a waste of time. I'm angry for the murder of the series I had enjoyed.
