The last page ruined me.

Heartbreaking. Beautifully brutal story. So much for a teenager to experience.

I thought I'd figured out before the end that this book was just okay, but I really liked how it wrapped up.

"I'm glad I'm writing the good and the bad. I'm glad I didn't delete anything. If you can only remember your aspirations, you will have no idea how you got from point A to point B."

What a tough but very good read. About something I'd never heard of - Niemann-Pick Type C (or NPC). And the journey through Sammie's life as her goal driven self comes to the realization that she has a disease - will leave you shaken. A powerful story and one I'm glad I read.

I’m currently a sobbing mess rn because of this book. I was take aback from how much I loved this book. the synopsis always interested me and I’ve wanted to read it since it was published and I’m so glad I finally did. this book and especially the ending broke my heart into a million pieces. like completely shattered it. I feel like the main reason that happened was because of how attached I was to the characters. Sammie was so relatable to me and I felt so connected to her. Definitely a character I’ll always think about. the whole plot and storyline was something I enjoyed. Being a high school senior myself the first half was something I loved reading about. Sammie’s story was amazing and I was rooting for her the whole time. Her relationship was Stuart was obviously not my fav but it was important for her. But then COOPER LIND. loml omg this kid and his character development. his relationship was Sammie and when he was professing his love for her was actually the cutest thing ever. they were each other’s soulmates and that’s what got me at the end. he had the last message to Sammie and it all hit me bc they meant the world to each other and then she died. I was hoping for such a happy ending and I was devastated when she died. So many thoughts and feels about this book. loved it sooo much forever
