read this for my paper!

it's a really good & quite fascinating insight into the way cinema (and technology in general) changed the perception of reality at the beginning of the 21st century - together with Pirandello's usual themes of identity, alienation and the roles of society.
What I've always loved about his writing is the subtle sense of ironic detachment that runs through everything, but at the same time there's a real sense of melancholy, too. I also loved a lot of the symbolism relating to nature vs machines/artificiality.
I need to finally read his plays, man.
