It’s criminal that I hadn’t read this till now!!!! And for everyone that hadn’t recommended it to me, JAIL, STRAIGHT TO JAIL!!!!!!!
This book was so good. I’m not even sure I knew what love was before.. but I sure as hell know that Kade loves Stacey.

Basically it was just luck of communication. Kade in just 2 years is an expert killer, trained in 10 countries and he is 21 years old. Really? So, Stacey can't tell her own truth because her stepbrother will kill him.. the stepbrother, who we only know nearly nothing will kill the killer..really?Ok, it was fun, i will read the other two, but i don't understand how it is so high rated. I just want a little more realism, even if it is fiction. Is it too much?
So I liked the characters when they weren’t being psycho…
I loved this way more than I expected! Kade was amazing we need more male characters like him. I really appreciated how the story took its time and didn’t rush anything. The pacing felt just right, and the chemistry between the characters was so well done. Definitely a standout.
This is my 3rd time trying to read this book and I simply cannot get through it. I don’t know what it is, i think I just don’t gel with the characters or the story. Not rating it out of fairness.

OMG: I kept seeing people RAVE about this book on booktok - - but I was like, is this just going to be another overhyped book? But SHAME ON ME because I LOVED Little Stranger so I should have known that Leigh Rivers DID HER THING with this series also. SO, SO GOOD!!
I feel like we have only grazed the surface as to how deeply connected Kade + Stacey are. There’s so much 1. That we don’t know + 2. That Kade doesn’t know + my stomach is already in knots over what went down at the end of this book.
This is TRUE (lovers to) enemies to lovers! He wanted to hate her so bad + the things they said to each other were SO hateful, while neither of them could deny the connection they still felt. I went from loving their banter, to being like “damn, that was a low blow!”
+ while things have happened, relationship wise: holy slow burn! GOD, please let them end up together! I’ve gone into this series blind - for the most part + I’m sick wondering what will happen in book two. Picking it up IMMEDIATELY!

This book is was okay. It broke my heart and made me giggle at the same time. I wish Stacey had a backbone and wouldn’t go back to Kade everytime there was tension though, it was embarrassing.🙂✋🏻
And honestly the smut did make me cringe…a lot.😬 I don’t know what it was but i couldn’t just read it without feeling second hand embarrassment. But besides that, it was okay.
