It’s just so boring

I’m giving the same review for all three books in the series! I feel like I must because you can’t read just one, they must all be read, and in order. Leigh Rivers has talent that is far beyond almost anything I have seen. This story was a story that I continued to think about long after I finished the third book. The story is incredible, writing is phenomenal, character dynamic and development is just the perfect combination that keeps you so invested that you don’t realize you have flown through the entire story. So many tears through this story. The trauma, loss and love is like nothing I have ever read.

Kade and Stacey were young kids who tormented then loved each other, but only in secret as he was her best friends brother.

He is the son of a notorious psychopath and she is stuck under the roof of another, the difference is Kade is unaware of Stacey’s situation.  Their lives blow up and both start down tragic paths, his leading to being under the thumb of the leader of the criminal underworld.  When they start to reconnect it puts them both in danger.

First the issues: how would someone with only 2 years training become the top hit man for the criminal underworld? How come a trip to see the dad who is locked up in a psychiatric prison turns into a friends holiday? Why is the step dad so chill about the mum still clearly being in love with the guy that tried to kill her?

But sometimes you just don’t care about the plot holes because the story flows so well.  The pacing is perfect and it kept me gripped the entire time!
