I love them.

The Edge of Darkness Trilogy is my holy grail. I inhale anything that Leigh writes, however, Kade and Stacey are up there! I can't actually find the words to write how I felt about this book. Other than - READ IT. You can thank me later.

Dark - check trigger warnings.

“At least I got to kiss her”. I’m speechless.

Why am I shocked that Leigh Rivers would write another unhinged MMC when she created Malachi Vize. This book was written so well - I audibly gasped. The tension between Kade and Stacey is so thick and I ate it up.

One thing about Leigh rivers is she’s going to make a morally gray man who yearns. I DEVOURED THIS. New book boyfriend (potentially husband) unlocked.

Also need an extension on that bike scene….

It was a decent read, definitely ended on a cliff hanger!

DID NOT FINISH: 41%

trying to figure out what i like in dark romance and this one unfortunately isn't it

the dual pov was not a great choice because i really could not stand being in kade's head to the point i was starting to really dislike him. i think i would have had a better time with just stacey chapters, or a lot less of kade, like maybe only a chapter here or there instead of multiple chapters in a row.

as for the plot .... its just not the kind of darkness i like. yeah kade is a hitman, but the darkness seems to come from the fact that both MCs are being abused than from like him killing people, and it just wasn't working for me (almost kept reading just so i could see the abusers get the shit beat out of them, but alas)

and the relationship ... i did not like it. i felt no emotional connection between them, kade hates her and is very vocal about it, and it seemed like the only thing between them was sexual attraction, and i need more than that

so yeah, unfortunately this one was not for me. for such a dark story it was surprisingly easy to read though, like i could have forced a finish because the pages just flew by, so there's that.
