Both of the protagonists irritated me at one point or another. The very end of the story made up for a lot of the stuff that I disliked in the beginning, though. I wish we could have seen more of the family dynamic when Lauren and Will made it home—that part was pure magic!

Aw man this nearly made me cry (okay it did) - honestly to read such a perfect book as my first book of the yr feels like a treat I don't deserve

This was cute and sweet but a little boring. I just didn’t feel that connected to the characters. They weren’t that developed. I liked the banter but there wasn’t any heat the whole book. Just a couple kisses here and there that were completely PG. also they were adults but said things like “darn” and “heck” which felt pretty cringe.

I liked the idea of the book and it was cute and fast enough that I got through it in one sitting but it just didn’t feel extortionately special in any way. I feel like I would have loved this one in middle school. It’s also be a cute Christmas romance read if your into 100% clean, no spice, no heat, reads.

The one thing that I did love in this book was the fmc job. She was a TV see decorator which was super cool and interesting. I’d never read a book with a character who did that before.

All in all I wish it had more tension and heat and that it dove into their personalities/past scars that were mentioned a lot more. But it was a cute, clean read if that what you’re into.

“But what if he doesn’t break it?
What if he FIXES IT...?
And then he protects it like it was his most precious treasure as long as you both shall live?”

FANTASTIC!!!! I absolutely LOVED this book!!! It literally is the perfect Christmas story ever!! I am still wiping my tears writing this review because it was that amazingly good!! A GAZILLION STARS!!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Is this your standard cheesy second chance holiday romance book?? NO!! It is so much more than that.
Plus its not cheesy!! This story is about working through the hard times and not giving up, receiving and giving forgiveness, and living life to the fullest.
Honestly, I don't want to go into the details because I feel like it is better if you go into it blind like I did. Walsh has written a MASTERPIECE with this one!! ALL of the emotions with a HEA ending. There are so many great quotes so I will leave you with my favorite.🥰

"Nobody deserves forgiveness, Will. That's the point.
That's what grace is."

I don't really like reading romantic books about Christmas, cause most of them are cheesy and boring. This one is cheesy as well, but I loved it anyway!

It was so sweet, main characters had actually good motivation and I enjoyed their chemistry a lot. Lauren and Will felt like real people and that's what I love about books like this one <3

This was a fun road trip, enemies to lovers romance. I read the last 75% in one sitting. Once I got into the heart of this story, I just had to see that they got their HEA. Lauren had to overcome a terrible family life and Will had to forgive himself for his past mistakes, but they both helped each other on the journey. Not spicy at all, but a fun Christmas road trip adventure!

(I think this would be a 4.5) This was just the most heart-warming Christmas book ever. There were no sex scenes, which I actually liked. It was just wholesome.

The banter between the characters was well done. And the author took the time to really develop the relationship which I always appreciate.

The only reason I deducted half a star is because Lauren seems a little self Sabotage-y and that annoyed me lol.

“The Plumper in the Jumper” is what I will be calling Santa Claus from now on.

I loved this.
