This was my first Stephen King book, and I was really excited to read it after hearing so many great things about it. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my lofty expectations - I was hoping for a 5-star read, but it fell short on a couple of accounts.
I did overall enjoy it and certainly wouldn't want to dissuade anyone from reading it, but I feel like it was too long and plodding. I have nothing against long books, but it took too long to get to the main point. I also would have liked a bit more from the ending, as it felt rushed in comparison.
It also didn't have the emotional depth I look for in a 5-star book. The characters are fine, but after so many pages, I should have cared more about them.

Not sure if this book is that good or if Jodie reminds me of the town I grew up in. Really enjoyed either way.
I’d say this is probably one of the best books I’ve read in awhile.
A longer read, yes. At times, I was tired of “the butterfly effect”, but the storytelling is just so. SO. GOOD.
