It took me a little bit to get into this book, but I ended up loving it. I really wish there was an epilogue, but the author does have an extra piece of fanfic on ao3 (“what spring does with the cherry trees” by Ariaste). I also haven’t read Tadek and the Princess yet, so there may be more about Kadou and Evemer in that.

This book didn’t have enough fantasy or enough romance. It hovered somewhere in the middle, making for vague world building and politics and a boring drawn out romance. I had high hopes for the first 100 pgs and then it just got very mid and stayed there for the next 400 pgs.

Absolutely LOOOVVEEEE the cover though.
