⚠️I tried my hardest to savor this book and not zoom through it but I couldn’t help it & part of me did not want Juice Box & Books’ story to end. Ms. Bella Jay I NEED THE SEQUEL!

Beautiful & heartbreaking. This book put me through so many emotions. I sobbed for at least 3 chapters straight and started to heal with Books & Juice toward the end. 

I believe they began writing their sequel one day <3 (bc I need the closure lol).

I really enjoyed the concept of going on a vacation with a soon to be ex husband. Books and Juice was such a cute couple and I really wanted them to be back together. Books saying that she doesn’t know herself outside of Juice real however, I did not agree with her not going back to therapy. Juice was such a good and supportive man and I felt so bad for him. I hope this couple gets a second chance love story soon. I really hope Books and Juice find a way back to be with eachother.

Although this was a good book, it kinda felt like it dragged a little bit. Lowkey a slow burn and I hate those so maybe that’s why I felt it dragged. I thought it would end with them getting back together but no; they divorced anyways. Overall a good read.

This is NOT a romance book (Bella Jay gives more info in her author’s note in the beginning) AND it’s a beautiful book about family, love and putting yourself first. 

Call me mf Books cuz we are the same person. 

We both love books. Obsessed with Harry Potter. Have small bladders. Married to jokesters. I’m thicker than her doe!

Once again I’m comforted by a black book about black folks written by a black author. 

The language. The culture. Just everything in the book was beautiful. It made me laugh and smile.

I knew before I read this book how it was going to end but that didn't make it any better. 

Bella Jay you were in your bag when you wrote this book. This had me laughing and crying at the same time.  Juice is my book Bae for life!! Like she said at the beginning this is not a HEA after story in the sense that the couple will end up together but it is HEA for my girl Books finding and loving herself. Even as I'm writing thus review I'm still going through the motions. Bookmarked is one of my best reads so far this year and I know this book will stick with me. 

As much as I wanted B and J to end up together I understood why they couldn't be one anymore. Fingers crossed for sequal or an update on these two cause this can't be the end. 

10/10!!!
