Fingerübungen einer jungen Frau, die später eine der beliebtesten Schriftstellerinnen der Welt werden sollte.

This is the first (and definitely wont be the last) of jane austen’s writings ive read… and i enjoyed it a lot!! She truly is one of The Greats. Her humorous and romantic way with words was so fun to read. It was also fascinating to see the customs + how they spoke/wrote back then as someone who knows very little about the regency era. My favorites were Jack and Alice (about the life, mishaps, and silliness of alcoholics) & From A young lady in distress’d Circumstances to her friend (cruel rich old lady who cannot stand the lovely less fortunate young girl’s charm and wit)

Young Jane must have been fun to hang around.

I do prefer the novels by Jane Austen, instead of her letters.

Very interesting read, def not something I though I would read from a classics author. Reading this has made me less "scared" to read Jane Austen though so that's great. Louds of utterly ridicolous statements and situations in this "book" (55 pages so it isn't the longest thing ever).

Skimmed through most of this because I found it quite boring to be honest!
