Austen had a seeming love for mocking society with somewhat absurd humour, making for amusing if odd little stories in her juvenilia. Not a patch on her novels of course, but still worth a read. I especially love the wonderfully nonsensical revelation at the end of Henry And Eliza that someone just totes forgot about leaving their baby in a haycock.

This was a random little collection of Jane Austen's early work. It's not what you'd expect from Jane Austen. These stories are a bit silly (she was a teenager writing just for her family, so we'll cut her some slack) but full of her usual humour.

This is a collection of witty short works written when Austen was young. “Jack and Alice” is especially amusing.
