I can’t understand how an author can write so many words and yet tell the reader nothing? This book is chaotic, repetitive, overly dramatic and all the characters are so angry and hostile all the time. It’s so poorly written that half the time I’ve not got a clue WHY they’re so angry because the whole thing is so evasive and their extreme emotions are rarely explained. The first 70% of this book is 100% a 1 star, it’s boring and the one bit of action which passes for interesting again doesn’t make sense at the time and what follows is more evasiveness, gahhhhh. All the relationships explored in this book are so toxic and the FMC is so pathetic, whiny and dislikable. It gains a 0.5 because at least I got given some answers at the end of this book to help explain what the hell has been going on. It has left me feeling as though the entirety of book one was redundant though and I’m not left satisfied with how it ends but I shall not be reading book three.
Satisfactory ending? Nope.

This FREAKING BOOK. I have emotional whiplash. I experienced ALL THE EMOTIONS. I hated them all and then I grieved for them all and then I freaking LOVED them all. I have loved so deeply and my heart just aches thinking about it. My dark cloud 🖤 😭😭😭

I have been crying- sobbing - for so long. It’s like, every time you gather yourself up after crying, this book punches you in the stomach. My heart is torn. My heart is taken out and thrown into a blender.
I once saw a review that was just “My therapist will be hearing about this book.” and I didn’t understand it until now but man oh man… so true.
If you’re looking for more smut, I don’t think this is for you. This was a lot more emotional and character driven than spicy plot. But if you are emotionally attached to Dom or Sean, read with caution. I am genuinely terrified to read the next book.

The amount of back and forth pull Kate Stewart is able to believably place between these relationships kept me reeling, frantically turning pages.
At no point did I anticipate what would happen next. I have never enjoyed suspense nor the roller coaster of emotions I experienced before this journey.
I have laughed, glared, and cried. I have been frustrated, thankful, and heartbroken.
Now onto the third!

But overall, I really did enjoy this book. The ending was definitely rushed and seemed kind of thrown together,
