I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would (it was a rec from someone that I don't have genre in common with). The story was pretty quick to get through and the characters were all very fun to read about.
I really enjoyed Orchid and Mustard's storylines and can't wait to see what happens next in the series.

Crying score: nope

I love Clue, both the game and the movie, so I knew I had to read this! It was a super fun, quick read, and the killer’s identity totally took me by surprise. Great suspense, great character development, and an intriguing set-up for the next book. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this book! The writing was mysterious without being confusing and clear without being obvious. The characters were well-developed and easy to understand who they are and why.

The killer was so obvious because
there was only one adult. It seemed far fetched that a teenage student would have committed the murder, so
I guessed right away.

I enjoyed the feminist overtones throughout the book to remind readers that not all women are damsels in distress. I liked the complication of toxic masculinity by showing not all men are defaulted to strong and protective. Those parts were natural 21st-century conversations about gender equality.
