Great "broken Holodeck" type story, too bad it could not have been a filmed episode.
Story is missing humor normally in Orville episodes, which fits with the serious story this is telling.

This Novella of an Orville episode which didn't get made because of covid, was a good read, not a great one. It would have translated better on screen, but it's nice to have, along with this great new season.
I can tell why this was an unproduced episode, but...
I'm glad to have read this story nonetheless. Like many topics covered by the series, it brings up complex concepts and philosophical conversations, but also leaves enough room for people to.come to their own conclusions, if they have one at all.

Seth MacFarlane surprises me sometimes. A lot of his work is juvenile and ofen crass, sometimes works sometimes not so much. This novella was in my opinion top shelf. The world building was complete and it all fell into place in the reveal 3/4th into it. Amazed that this came out of Disney.
